The Kitty Tube Vent Cap and Gasket
This cap is needed to eliminate moisture laden air that can build up under the top lid. This moisture laden air can cause condensation in certain temperature swings. This cap serves the same purpose as the vents on the roof of your own home that expel excessive moisture in the winter and heat in the summer. This vent cap is very important in maintaining a dry interior for your cat.
*All Kitty Tubes will now include a vent cap and gasket.
NOTE: This cap can be installed on all older model Kitty Tubes and will greatly improve its performance. To install a vent cap on non Generation 3 Kitty Tubes a 1½ inch hole is needed on the top dead center of the lid to install. We recommend using a standard 1½ inch hole saw to make this hole.

I needed a new foam round, but it only came as a package with another part, but they let me purchase only the item I needed AND threw in the vent cap I also needed FREE! Thank You so much, I appreciate you and so does my feral clan!! In these rough times I can use all the help I can get. These are the BEST houses out there. Once again a wonderful product. My last vent cap and gasket lasted 3 years. My Kitty Tube is exposed to the elements all year long. I am in Ohio and we get a beating at times with winter weather. No complaints at all on ANY aspect of the Kitty Tube - inside or outside. You also simply cannot beat their Customer Service. They are exceptional. Thanks for your wonderful products!!!

5 Probably the best cat winter shelter

I use it as a winter shelter only; for the summer I am not sure if it is needed; cats sleep outside anyway. It is an excellent shelter. One problem: the top vent gets broken, and I was told it is about to be redesigned; meantime the manufacturer replaces them even beyond the warranty term.

The vent cap does an exceptional job of regulating moisture release and temperature control. I recently lost one of mine and was able to reach out to company and order a replacement. Fabulous customer service. Amazing products. Highly recommend this company.

I want to thank kitty tube for supplying a replacement vent cap. Our old one leaked but it was an earlier prototype. We just endured tropical storm Henri which pelted us with 3” of rain an hour. This vent cap worked perfectly. No water inside the kitty tube.
